Building With Lace Session 1

Building With Lace will help you to become a Master Lace Knitter, one section at a time!  

Session 1:  Lace Basics

In this first of 11 sessions we will go over what comprises lace knitting.  We will go over the importance of a gauge swatch, learn provisional cast on, placing life-lines, and work our first sample swatch.

Over the course of 11 months we will create a beautiful sampler shawl.  Meeting on the first Sunday of each month, we will focus on techniques designed to broaden your understanding of lace knitting.  This is a skill-building series where the mastery of each skill builds one upon another in subsequent patterns.  We will start out with lace basics, and move through different techniques (including beads!) in a sequential way that makes sense.  Be prepared for the feeling of pride that accompanies mastery of new knitting skills!

We will meet the first Sunday of each month from February 2, to  December 6, 2020 from 10:30am-12:30pm

Drop In may be available (if class hasn't sold out).  

Buy yarn/materials from Calypso In Color and class time will be $30/session.
