Week 3: Block 3 Yarn Over and Bobbles

This week we will go over a simple incease that creates a lovely hole that is the basis of lace knitting. Also we will learn to ceate a simple bobble, which is a nice textured "bump" in your fabric that has its roots in Irish/Aran knitting. We will go over Special Abreviations in a pattern, and talk about the use of increases and corresponding decreases to maintain stitch count across rows.

The Knitting Building Blocks Class is designed to help knitters navigate through major knitting skills, techniques, and principles, while creating 12 individual squares. Each of the 12 patterns focus on developing new skills in a sequential way, building upon the skills of the previous pattern, while giving new knitters more confidence and knowledge. Once the 12 squares are complete, you will learn to join them together to create an heirloom-worthy sampler afghan.

We will meet Sundays from 10:30am-12:30pm from January 6-March 31, 2019

Buy yarn/materials from Calypso In Color and class time will be $25/session. Bring your own materials, and pay $30/class session. Must buy Building Blocks Book by Michelle Hunter ($20).
