Week 9: Block 9 Left Twist Stitches

The mirror image of the Right Twist Stitch (Week 6), the Left Twist is a bit more finicky than the Right Twist Stitch. This is another 2 stitch pattern where the stitches are knit out of order, much like a cable, but without a cable needle. Used often with traditional cables in Irish/Aran knitting, this is another beautifully textured stitch to add to your tool kit.

The Knitting Building Blocks Class is designed to help knitters navigate through major knitting skills, techniques, and principles, while creating 12 individual squares. Each of the 12 patterns focus on developing new skills in a sequential way, building upon the skills of the previous pattern, while giving new knitters more confidence and knowledge. Once the 12 squares are complete, you will learn to join them together to create an heirloom-worthy sampler afghan.

We will meet Sundays from 10:30am-12:30pm from September 1, to November 24, 2019

Buy yarn/materials from Calypso In Color and class time will be $25/session. Bring your own materials, and pay $30/class session. Must buy Building Blocks Book by Michelle Hunter ($20).
