Yarn Parties
Parties at your location
Knit Groups, Baby/Bridal Showers, Girls Night Out, Learn to Knit/Crochet parties, we can help you plan a fantastic, fun party. We need at least 2 parking spaces (Calypso is 20’ long!) on a flat surface.
Class Parties
Beginning Knitting (our most popular!)
We ask for a minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 students, for a class-type party. Minimum charge for a party is $280, with an additional $35/person for 5 or more students. Included are 4 hours of instruction and materials to make a slouchy hat, knit in the round.
Baby Shower/Bridal Shower parties
Make a patch-work type blanket for your new bride or baby on-the-way! Your class will be about learning to knit or crochet squares, and putting them together for a commemorative blanket to present to the bride-to-be, or mother-to-be. Colors can be the bride’s wedding colors, or colors to go with her décor. You can choose baby colors according to the sex of the baby, or go wild with bright crayon-type colors. The choice is yours.
We ask for a minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 students, for a class-type party. Minimum charge for a party is $280, with an additional $35/person for 5 or more students. Included are 4 hours of instruction and materials. If your party also includes guests who already know the basics of knit or crochet, all the better! These guests will have the opportunity to purchase materials for the blanket on the truck, or bring their own yarn/hook/needles to the party and join us.
Shopping Parties
Girls Night Out/Knit Groups
Choose a location. Your residence, or your favorite watering hole (with permission of course). We need a flat surface for parking, and ample room to park (at least 2 parking spaces). There is no charge for this type of party, but we do ask for a minimum of 6 guests who are ready to get their yarn on!
Other Parties
Tie-Dye Parties
From children’s parties to family reunions, everyone loves Tie-Dye! We can help your party create unique Tie-Dye T-Shirts. We provide the T-Shirts, dye, rubber bands, gloves, and other necessities, you provide the creativity. We need some space (preferably outside) for 6’ table(s) to work on, where we can get a little messy, and at least 2 parking spaces for Calypso to park. We will also need a source for water.
Keep in mind that the dye will stain clothes and skin. We will supply disposable gloves, but you may want to supply smocks or aprons for participants.
We ask for a minimum of 6 participants. Minimum charge for a party is $270, with an additional $30 per each additional person. We ask that children be at least 10 years old, or that younger children each have an adult helper. Included are set-up, all materials needed, and 1-1/2 hour of instruction. Each participant will have a unique tie-dye shirt when we are finished.
